Joe W. Ball, President, obtained his MAI designation in 1983 and has been involved in the appraisal of all types of commercial real estate, with a special interest and experience in appraising land for conservation purposes. He also serves as the principal broker for the firm. Mr. Ball has responsibility for managing the business and reviewing the appraisal reports generated by the firm.

He has been very active in leadership roles with the Appraisal Institute, both on a regional and local level. Most recently, he served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of the Appraisal Institute in 2000-2002, Vice President 2003, President 2004, Chapter Director (2005-2007) and 2008 Chairman of the Atlanta Chapter’s Leadership Development Committee.

George S. Petkovich, MAI, CCIM, and Senior Vice President joined the firm in 1996. Mr. Petkovich earned the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) Degree from Georgia State University in 1994 and became a principal in the firm in 2001.

Mr. Petkovich earned his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2004 and the CCIM designation from the CCIM Institute in 2008. Mr. Petkovich has been active in the Atlanta Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, serving it in multiple roles, including Chairman of the Associate Leadership Committee, Chairman of the Membership Development and Retention Committee, Regional Representative and serving on the Board of Directors. George also attended the Leadership Development and Advisory Council in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Sheppard joined Pritchett, Ball & Wise, Inc. in 1998, and is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute and a Certified General Real Property Appraiser with the State of Georgia. The majority of his assignments involve condemnation and litigation support, as well as assorted commercial, retail, industrial, office, multi-family residential (with a focus in low-income/tax-credit housing) and special use properties such as cell towers, wetlands and mineral properties. 

Mr. Sheppard is a national final-level experience review screener and Regional Representative for the Apprasial Institute.
