Joe W. Ball, MAI

Joe W. Ball obtained his MAI designation in 1983 and has been involved in the appraisal of all types of commercial real estate, with a special interest and experience in appraising land for conservation purposes, estate valuation, and commercial brokerage. He also serves as the principal real estate broker for the firm. Mr. Ball has primary responsibility for managing the business of the firm, and for reviewing the appraisal reports generated by members of the firm. He has been very active in leadership roles with the Appraisal Institute, both on a regional and local level. Most recently, he served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of the Appraisal Institute in 2000-2002, Vice President 2003, President 2004 and Chapter Director 2005-2007. He currently serves as 2008 Chairman of the Atlanta Chapter’s Leadership Development Committee.

 

 

 

George S. Petkovich, MAI, CCIM

George S. Petkovich, MAI and CCIM joined the firm in 1996. Mr. Petkovich, who earned the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) Degree from Georgia State University in 1994, became a principal in the firm in 2001. Mr. Petkovich earned his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2004 and the CCIM designation from the CCIM Institute in 2008. Mr. Petkovich has been active in the Atlanta Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, serving it in multiple roles.

 

 

Henry J. Wise, MAI, CBA, BVAL, CRE

Henry J. Wise, who was a principal and Senior Vice President in the firm until his retirement in early 2008, achieved the MAI designation in 1990, the CBA (Certified Business Appraiser) and BVAL (Business Valuator Accredited in Litigation) from the IBA (Institute of Business Appraisers) in 2000. Henry is one of the few appraisers in the United States designated in both business and real estate appraisal. He is a frequent contributor of educational articles and papers, teaches for both professional organizations and is a part time member of the faculty at Georgia State University. Henry is an active member of various committees of The Appraisal Institute. He was elected to serve as Treasurer for 2004, Secretary 2005, Vice President 2006, President 2007, serves on its Board of Directors and is Chairman of Associate Member Guidance. Henry became a member of CRE in October of 2004. He retired from Pritchett, Ball & Wise, Inc. January 2008, but continues his relationship with the firm by handling existing litigation cases and by taking on occasional assignments that are of special interest to him.
